Reading:
We have wrapped up our biography unit. It was so fun to see who the students chose to read about and share what they've learned with this class. You can learn so much from people of the past. For the month of March our read aloud has been different Dr. Seuss books! He has so many great books that we've been enjoying!
Writing:
This week students will write their post assessment for personal narratives. We will review everything that makes a good personal narrative before we write. Toward the end of the week we will begin our animal research projects!
Math:
This week we will wrap up our area and perimeter unit. This has been a little tricky for this kids. Don't worry, it's not being put on the back burner. We will still be practicing this through remembering sheets and whiteboard practice. Our next math unit will involve fractions.
Science:
Our new science unit ties in perfectly with out animal research projects. We will be learning about animals. Some areas we study are vertebrates vs. invertebrates, the 5 groups of vertebrates, animal adaptations, and animal defenses.
