Girls on the Run (GOTR) is coming to Bauer! This is a 10 week after school program that helps girls to respect who they are and make healthy living choices. Additionally, the girls will be able to participate in a 5K run/walk at GVSU in May!
Another really exciting part of Bauer’s GOTR is that our coaches will be from our staff. Mrs. Boss, Mrs. Scholma, Miss Hanrahan, Mrs. Oldebekking, Mrs. Moss, Mrs. Bussa, Mrs. DeWinter, and myself will all be coaches. This is great fun for us as a staff to be able to interact with your daughters in a more informal way. Moms are also welcome to help if they are interested.
The program will start on March 10 and go through most of May. The practices will be right after school on Mondays and Wednesday till 5:00 pm. Registration for the program will be here at Bauer on November 4 from 3:40-6:00 pm in the Media Center.
The cost of the program is $120. This fee includes the 10 weeks of lessons, a brand new pair of New Balance running shoes, a practice t-shirt, water bottle, race day t-sheet, and entrance fee for the 5K run. There are also payment plans and available scholarships for families who are financially stretched.
