Science Test

The kids have their scored science tests with them this evening. Any one that received a ’1′ will be retaking the test after further small group instruction.  This was the first exposure many of them have had to ‘real’ questions written in a MEAP-like format. It’s very different to see science questions written with the tricky language we discussed during our test taking strategies lessons.  Tricky questions plus science vocabulary make it twice as hard, and hopefully the kids now realize the importance of studying those vocabulary words and remaining focused and engaged during class activities and discussions.
