Please, Please PLEASE....

... make sure your child is reading at least 20 - 30 minutes each night. It is helpful for me if YOU record their minutes each night. Some kids frantically fill in minutes each morning, and I'm guessing they are not always accurate. ;)  Every Monday I check minutes, and the numbers are getting lower and lower. I can't stress enough how important it is for your child to read each night. Math homework will be less frequent this unit, so more time for reading. :) THANK YOU in advance for encouraging your son/daughter to read at home. It DOES make a difference!
