Reading:
We continue to focus our study on biographies. Students have started to read biographies in class, and check them out in library as well. I am so excited to have conversations with them about what they learn about the great people they choose to read about. We have a fun project that comes at the end of this unit as well. They will make a story cube for the person they chose to study.
Writing:
We are finishing up our realistic fiction stories this week. Their stories are turning out great. It's been fun to read them as they have been working. Next week we will use our writing block to type these stories out.
Math:
We are working our way through fractions. This is a difficult unit, but the students are doing well. A quick homework sheet came home today for extra practice.
Science:
On Friday we will take our sound assessment. A review sheet is coming home Wednesday. Please quiz your child on what we have learned to make sure they are prepared for the test.
