Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing holiday and break the past 2 weeks! We are back in the swing of things and it looks like winter is back with us as well! Here's what's coming up...
Important Dates
January 9th: Mrs. Scholma's first day back! :)
Math:
We are continuing with unit 3. We spent some time today reviewing the measurement and time pieces we worked on before break. We will be moving into graphs next!
Spelling:
List 13 is going home tonight! This week's words focus on words with long "e" and long "i" sounds spelled with a "y" and spelling the plural forms and past tense forms of these words
Writing:
We are finishing up our poetry unit this week. Today, students wrote a color poem and really did a great job! We will be typing these and making a book this week.
Science:
We started a new unit on Light today! Students brainstormed what they already knew about light and what they wanted to know. This week we will be studying more about light and also doing some fun experiments!
